Prize draw Terms and Conditions

  1. This prize draw is free to enter and is open to all tenants who have logged into the HomeSwapper website at least once during the qualifying calendar month.

  2. You are automatically entered into a prize draw by performing any one of the following tasks on HomeSwapper: (a) uploading a photo of your home; (b) completing your details; (c) responding to messages in a timely manner as defined; (d) making your home advert live. You will be awarded a ‘star’ upon the successful completion of a task as listed. Each ‘star’ you are awarded represents one entry into that particular month’s prize draw. You can be awarded up to a maximum of five ‘stars’ per calendar month, at which point you will be awarded no further ‘stars’ during that calendar month. On the first day of the next calendar month, the number of ‘stars’ you have earned will reset to zero and you will have the ability to earn up to five further stars for the new calendar month as detailed above in this clause 1.

  3. If you fulfil any of the HomeSwapper tasks as listed but do not wish to participate in the prize draw then please contact us within 14 days of completing the above tasks at the address below. By entering the prize draw, you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions.

  4. Owing to the nature of the HomeSwapper service, internet access is required in order to enter the prize draw.

  5. You will be notified via by our customer service team within 7 days of the end of each prize draw if you are a winner. Details of the name and county of prize-winners are available on request by contacting us at the below address. You have 30 days to claim the prize from the date we email you. If a prize is not claimed then it will remain unclaimed and will be offered in one of the later prize draws. If a prize is not claimed from the final prize draw, it will remain unclaimed and will not be offered again.

  6. Entry into the prize draw is limited to five entries (i.e. five ‘stars’) per lead tenant, per month. Each lead tenant is limited to entry into a maximum of five separate prize draws. You will only be able to claim a prize if you are verified by your landlord as a tenant. Once you have entered the prize draw you will be automatically entered into the current month’s prize draw.

  7. You must be 18 years of age or over and resident in the UK to be eligible to participate in this prize draw.

  8. Each prize draw will take place at the end of the calendar month. You will be eligible to participate in the prize draw which takes place at the end of the calendar month in which you complete the tasks given in clause 1 above and then the subsequent four prize draws.

  9. If the dates of the prize draws are changed due to circumstances outside of our reasonable control, we will do everything reasonable to ensure that tenants who participated within the original dates will not be disadvantaged.

  10. Entries to each prize draw must be received by the closing date of each respective prize draw. Late entries and entries that are incomplete, incorrectly submitted or otherwise deficient will not be accepted. The selection of the winners will take place immediately upon the prize draw ending. Winners are selected by a computer process that produces verifiably random results. In the event that a computerised process is unavailable then winners will be selected by an independent person or under the supervision of an independent person.

  11. Subject to clause 2 above, there will be one prize awarded per prize draw. All prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. We offer no cash alternative and winners must accept prizes in the form offered. Alternative prizes to those listed are not available and cannot be requested.

  12. No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. In this event that person's entry will be disqualified and any prize award will be void. Any malicious or manipulative attempt to influence the prize or the operation of the prize draw will result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Housing Partners Limited.

  13. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided Housing Partners Limited may at its sole discretion refuse to fulfil the prizes.

  14. A failure by Housing Partners Limited to enforce any one of these terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any entrant or winner, nor shall it be deemed to be a waiver of any of Housing Partners Limited's rights in relation to the same.

  15. All of Housing Partners Limited's decisions relating to the prize draw and/or redemption of the prizes are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other persons will be entered into.

  16. By entering the prize draw you agree that Housing Partners Limited has the right to publicise, broadcast and communicate to the public the names and counties of the winners for promotional purposes, together with such other information as Housing Partners Limited may agree with you.

  17. Owing to circumstances outside its reasonable control and only where such circumstances make this unavoidable, Housing Partners Limited reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw or these terms and conditions at any stage but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

  18. In the event that any provision of these terms and conditions are held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

  19. These terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
